(WLUK) -- A Fox Valley teen who has been through many health battles is facing another one. Family friends say Charlie Knuth is hospitalized with pneumonia and septic shock. He began to feel sick earlier this week. It progressed to the point where his mother, Trisha, had to call 911. Knuth was eventually flown to Children's Wisconsin in Wauwatosa, where he was put on a breathing tube in the intensive care unit. Knuth, now 17, was born with a rare condition called epidermolysis bullosa , which causes his skin to blister both on the inside and outside of his body.
