On Monday night, a pedestrian on W. Capitol Drive was trying to cross N. 124 Street westbound and was struck by a vehicle. The accident happened near the Target store in Wauwatosa. Westbound lanes were briefly shutdown during the investigation. Wauwatosa police say the pedestrian was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the striking vehicle stayed on the scene to cooperate with the investigation. Police say no citations have been issued until now.
