Luther Manor, which is the Milwaukee area's seventh-largest retirement community, has embarked on $9 million in improvements to its Wauwatosa campus including creating a secured memory-care residential facility. Work is underway on converting a former 18-bed skilled nursing unit to a licensed assisted living memory-care program, said Luther Manor president and CEO Stephanie Chedid. The project will be completed by May 2023, she said. 'It's a really excellent way for us to repurpose that space — and an opportunity to expand,' Chedid said.
