Wauwatosa officials in partnership with Mayfair owner Brookfield Properties are the latest team-up in the region to pursue new apartments to bolster the future of an enclosed mall. 'Mayfair has been the winner because it has evolved better and more rapidly than other malls, and this is another evolution to make sure it is a strong place for years to come,' said Wauwatosa Mayor Dennis McBride. Adding new apartments has become a go-to method to guarantee more shoppers to retain and attract stores to southeast Wisconsin's malls.
