Irgens is making progress on its redevelopment of the former UnitedHealthcare property on Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa, landing two tenants for the renovated office space and two national restaurant chains for a new retail building. The local developer bought the 14-acre property at Research Drive and Mayfair Road in 2021, and drew up plans to renovate the existing, vacant office building and construct new retail, apartments and health clinics around it. Completed in 1995 as the first building in the Milwaukee County Research Park, the office formerly housed UnitedHealthcare.
